I am pleased to serve as Chair of Governors at Claydon Campus. While new to the school, I bring several years of governance experience from a Church of England school in Ipswich, where I have served since 2017.
My background spans law, higher education and the charitable sector, with an extensive international experience. I began my career as a lawyer and a university lecturer in Pakistan and, since moving to the UK in 2010, have worked with the University of Suffolk, The Open University and a range of esteemed national and international charities within the community development. I hold Master of Laws (LLM) from The King's College, University of London, MA in English, Government College University, Bachelor of Laws (LLB), University of the Punjab, PG Diploma in Intellectual Property and Employment Laws and an Ecumenical Graduate Diploma from the University of Geneva.
As a mother of a secondary school student, I understand both the opportunities and the challenges that young people and families face today. I am passionate about supporting every child at the Claydon Campus to grow in confidence, feel inspired and achieve their full potential.

My daughter has just joined Claydon High in Year 7. When we looked around the school, I was very impressed with the approach and ethos, and I have several family members and friends that have attended and enjoyed the school.
I joined the academy committee as a parent member, motivated by supporting my community, an important role instilled in me by my family. I am now in a position to be able to commit to this very important role.
Professionally, I have been a Civil Servant for over 20 years working in Intelligence. I am used to dealing with confidential information discreetly.

Mrs Donna O'ConnorHeadteacher - Claydon Primary School
Mrs Donna O'Connor
I am proud to serve as the Headteacher of Claydon Primary School, a role I have held since September 2024 after joining the school five years ago as Deputy Head.
Prior to joining Claydon, I spent the majority of my professional journey teaching and leading in London, where I honed my skills as a class teacher, subject leader, Deputy Headteacher and Headteacher.
My passion lies in teaching, learning, and curriculum development. I believe in instilling a lifelong love of learning in our pupils, underpinned by the joy of reading—a cornerstone of success in all aspects of life. Beyond the classroom, I am an avid traveler. In my younger years, I embarked on backpacking adventures, including an unforgettable year in South America. These days, my travels may be less rugged, but my curiosity about the world remains undiminished.
At Claydon Primary, I am committed to fostering a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to reach their potential and develop the confidence to thrive to be the best they can be. -
