Administration Assistant

Permanent contract

Required as soon as possible

Hours of work: 12 hours per week / 38 weeks per year (term time)

Working pattern: Tuesday – Friday 9.00am – 12.00pm

Grade 2 Point 2

Starting salary: £6,401 (actual per annum)

Then this role, as part of our Administration team, is one for you.

The post holder will be the first point of contact for people visiting Claydon Primary School. You will play a key role in ensuring that guests feel welcome to the school and presenting a great first impression for all pupils, visitors and staff. Our school prides itself on our welcoming atmosphere and warm sense of community, promoting the ethos and values of CPS.

We want someone who is:

  • Energetic, committed, with bags of enthusiasm; who has a ‘can do’ attitude (relevant experience desirable)
  • Can deal with any situation with a smile on their face, in a friendly and professional manner.
  • An excellent communicator who is calm, patient and able to prioritise and organise their time to impact positively on our school community
  • Preferably First Aid trained or has medical experience (but not essential)
  • Have sound maths and literacy skills (GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths is desirable), alongside other  relevant qualifications
  • Have the ability to be flexible, use initiative, work as part of a team and have a good sense of humour
  • Deal with any and all complaints with a smile on their face, in a friendly and professional manner
